A core focus of the Center’s work is to offer students with opportunities to complement their curricular studying via lectures, panel discussions, conferences, and visitor speaker sequence on a large number of contemporary points concerning Gender and Sexuality Law, including civil rights, bodily autonomy and reproductive justice, the rights of transgender, nonbinary and gender non-conforming persons, the rights and experiences of intersex individuals, and gender norms in public area.

Revolutions throughout the world erupted in the course of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, helping to weed out flawed practices that hindered or limited progress. This course, as part of the Law and Public Service Learning Program, will focus specifically on how different political ideologies emerged through the twentieth century and consider in what ways we are dealing with the implications of these ideologies in the 21st century.
